Celebrating Three Years of Progress: Strategic Plan Implementation Update
May 1, 2025
Dear Rutgers Health community,
As we conclude the third year of implementation for One RBHS: The Way Forward, our second strategic plan for Rutgers Health, we are proud to reflect on how far we’ve come, and where we’re headed.
During the third year, we have continued to deepen our commitment to improving health for all through transformative education, groundbreaking research, innovative clinical care, and meaningful community engagement. Together, we are shaping the future of health—with vital breakthroughs to support our patients and communities.
This update highlights just some of the ways we are turning our vision into action. From launching the Rutgers Health Service Corps to deliver community-based care and education, to renewing three major and highly competitive NIH center awards that reinforce our leadership in research, we’ve advanced impact, excellence, and reach. And with the creation of the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Health AI, we’re accelerating innovation in data-driven health care while preparing the next generation of health leaders.
On our year three progress page, you will find stories that illustrate how we are advancing our nine strategic goals and making a tangible impact across the communities we serve, as well as a list of our most significant accomplishments by strategic theme.
Thank you to the strategic plan committees and all members of the Rutgers Health community who continue to bring this vision to life. Your dedication and tremendous contributions fuel our progress and propel us toward our aspiration to become one of the nation’s top academic health centers.
As we move forward with implementation of our plan, let’s continue to work together, as one Rutgers Health, united by our shared purpose, values, and bold ambition to improve health for all.
